Bruce originally graduated from the University of Aberdeen in History and Politics in 2005 subsequently completing a Masters degree in Politics the following year. After working as a Safety Advisor for an engineering firm for a number of years Bruce decided on a career change. He embarked on the accelerated LLB degree course at the University of Aberdeen also completing his Diploma in Legal Practice there.
After a period of practice in Aberdeen and the Highlands Bruce joined our team in June 2015. He is responsible for dealing with Executries, setting up and administering Trusts, preparing Wills and offering succession planning and Inheritance Tax advice as well as preparing Powers of Attorney and Advance Directives. He enjoys client contact, particulary meeting with clients both in the office and in their own homes.
Bruce is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is currently studying personal taxation with the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) with a view to eventually achieving Chartered Tax Adviser status. He hopes this specialised knowledge will be beneficial to the firm’s clients.
Bruce is married with one daughter. He has previously been involved in both football and darts teams and has a keen interest in boxing from the safety of an armchair.
