Legal Cashier

We are looking to recruit a full time Legal Cashier into our long established Glasgow City Centre based practice. The successful candidate will be joining a busy cash room and will, as part of the team, be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Law Society Accounts Rules.  Previous experience of working in a legal cashroom is essential as is the ability to work in a close team.

As a member of the team your main tasks will include fast and efficient processing of a high volume of banking payments; the accurate input of entries to our accounts system; timely allocation of funds received; liaising with fee earners and colleagues to ensure all funds are allocated; processing firm and client invoices; preparing cheques for banking; daily reconciliation of bank accounts and petty cash; and filing of bank statements.

The successful candidate should have strong IT skills as they will be required to work extensively with online banking platforms (CB Online, RBS Bankline) as well as frequent use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Experience with the Lawpro accounts system, or equivalent, is essential.

The individual should be confident, organised and have the ability to cope under pressure with a high volume of transactions. SOLAS qualification, or the desire to work towards it, is preferable but not required.

Starting salary will depend upon experience.

Private Client Solicitor

We are looking to recruit a Solicitor into our busy Private Client Department. This role is full time and will suit someone who enjoys working as part of a busy team with a wide variety of clients and a broad and diverse workload. The successful individual should be confident, organised, have strong communication skills and be able to work independently on their own initiative. They will also be expected to demonstrate strong IT and interpersonal skills as well as an ability to confidently manage their own workload.

The successful candidate will require to have had experience working in the private client field.  The role would suit someone newly or recently qualified but we will consider applications from candidates at all levels of post qualification. Your main tasks will involve dealing with a wide range of Private Client work including; administration of Estates and Trusts, drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney and tax planning.

Commercial Solicitor

We are looking to recruit an experienced commercial Solicitor. This role is full time and will suit someone who enjoys working with a wide variety of clients and a  broad and diverse workload.  It is essential that you have experience in and a desire to expand our commercial and corporate work for small and medium size businesses (business purchase sale, share purchase and sale, company investment work, partnerships, commercial contracts etc). A willingness and ability to assist in a general commercial property role (landlord and tenant commercial leasing, purchase and sale, development and security work) would be an advantage.

You should possess good IT skills and an ability confidently to manage your own workload.

Starting salary will depend upon experience and candidates of all levels of appropriate and relevant PQE will be considered.
