LEGAL FIRM SPONSORS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE

THE JOINT Sons Supporters Trust and Dumbarton Football Club Youth Development Initiative, which is nearing the end of a successful first season, has received a welcome boost with sponsorship from a legal firm.

Solicitors and Estate Agents Mitchells Roberton, of George House, 36 North Hanover Street, Glasgow, G1 2AD, have made a generous donation towards purchasing kit for the YDI coaching staff.

Recently appointed YDI head coach Nikos Koukos commented: “We are very pleased to have received the backing of our new sponsors, Mitchells Roberton. I hope that this is only part of a great new adventure and a business journey that in the near future will bring sponsorship for our young players by the same company. I understand that Mitchells Roberton are interested in seeing their logo displayed on our youth teams' strips too, and discussions on this are in progress.”

A Mitchells Roberton spokesman said: “Mitchells Roberton are delighted to be able to get involved with and support the youth initiative at Dumbarton FC. Many members of the firm are keen on football, and so we particularly enjoy the chance to help boost talented young players at the beginning of their football careers. Hopefully our support will aid Nikos in his new position as head coach.”

Sons Supporters Trust chair Denise Currie said: “The trust would like to express its appreciation to Mitchells Roberton for their support for the YDI, which we find very encouraging. Ultimately it is hoped that the YDI will produce home-grown players for the club's first team, and to do this we will both welcome and need help from businesses large and small.”
